The 2023 Rugby World Cup is in full swing, and after an action-packed second round. Here are the top stats leaders:

TOP TRY SCORERS IN THE WORLD CUP

Bundee Aki leads the try scoring charts as he dotted down twice this week to add to his two from last week. Mapimpi and Reinach each earned themselves a hatrick in the Springbok massacre of Romania.

Johnny Sexton leads the conversions count as his team have scored 20 tries in the first two weeks of the World Cup. Ireland will battle to keep this scoring rate up as they play Boks next, followed by Scotland, who are much tougher opposition than Romania and Tonga..

MOST CLEAN BREAKS 

Is Bundee Aki in the form of his life, or are the opposition skewing the stats? Time will tell, but Aki is impressively leading the clean breaks stat as well as try scoring. “Mystic” Mack Hansen, an Australian castoff, has emerged as a highly dangerous player in an equally menacing team. The Aussies must be rueing the day they let Hansen go.

Japan’s Cornelsen has made the most tackles this tournament so far with an impressive 35, interesting to note that Welsh lock Rowlands has the third most tackles despite not playing in round two of the competition.
