Exciting news! Our boys are getting ready for the epic Springboks Argentina showdown this Saturday at Ellis Park, Joburg. Coach Jacques Nienaber has decided to mix it up big time, making nine changes to the squad. This comes after our lads took a knock with a 35-20 defeat against the All Blacks. But, as we all know, the Bokke always come back stronger!

Springboks shake things up with Arendse’s return

Our star winger, Kurt-Lee Arendse, is back in the Springboks line-up. Arendse has been on fire this season, scoring 10 tries in eight games. He replaces Makazole Mapimpi, who had a tough time in the aerial contests against the All Blacks.

Marx joins frontline

Malcolm Marx, our ace hooker, makes his first start of the season, taking over from Bongi Mbonambi.

Marx is a legend in lineouts and loose play, and we’re stoked to see him back in the Springboks.

Springboks’ backline and forwards prepped for Pumas clash

Jesse Kriel, Manie Libbok, and Grant Williams are moving up to the front lines, while Lukhanyo Am, Damian Willemse, and Faf de Klerk are taking a breather on the bench.

Meanwhile, in the pack, captain Duane Vermeulen, Pieter-Steph du Toit, and Marco van Staden are ready to drive the Boks’ forward game.

Nienaber is feeling good about the new Springboks team. He said, “This is a quality team that offers the skills we need against Argentina.” He’s all about a balance of experience and youth as we gear up for the Rugby World Cup.
