Jean Kleyn’s return to his roots

Jean Kleyn, the former Ireland lock, is ready to make a splash in his Springboks debut during the Rugby Championship opener against Australia this Saturday in Pretoria. Having played for Munster and earned five caps for the Irish squad, Jean Kleyn joined the Bokke’s training squad after SA Rugby filed an application.

World Rugby gave the thumbs up for Jean Kleyn to play for his home country, as it’s been over three years since his last Test appearance. Springbok coach Jacques Nienaber has chosen to start Kleyn alongside Manie Libbok and Marco van Staden, all making their first starts for the beloved Bokke.
