Jake White denies links to vacant Cheetahs job
Jake White has set the record straight regarding his rumoured interest in the soon-to-be-vacant Cheetahs job.

Former Springboks coach Jake White has dismissed reports linking him to a coaching job at the Cheetahs.
The World Cup winning coach is currently in Japan, where he is the head coach of Top League outfit Toyota Verblitz.
Following news of Cheetahs incumbent Franco Smith imminent departure to Italy -where he is set to assume the head coach role for the national team – reports emerged that White had enquired about the post that would be left vacant.
However, in an interview with Rugby365, the 54-year-old set the record straight.
“I chatted to to Franco (Smith) about something else. I will not be applying for the Cheetahs role.”

White led Verblitz to the Japan Top League title in January, and has just months remaining in his contract, with All Blacks coach Steve Hansen reportedly set to take over.
The ex-Bok mentor was last involved in South African rugby in 2014 when he was the Sharks’ director of rugby.
During his time with the Boks, he led his charges to a 2004 Tri-Nations triumph just months after assuming duty, and ended his tenure by claiming the 2007 Rugby World Cup title.
