The DHL Stormers are gearing up for an exciting match against Ulster at DHL Stadium in Cape Town on Saturday, 29 March 2024, at 7:15 pm.

The team will be looking to secure back-to-back wins, and loose-forward Hacjivah Dayimani is set to make his 50th appearance for the Stormers in this crucial encounter.

Dayimani’s Milestone and Team Changes

Hacjivah Dayimani, who has been a standout performer for the Stormers over the past three seasons, will start at blindside flank.

Head coach John Dobson praised Dayimani, saying, “Hacjivah has been a phenomenon for us over the last three seasons and gives us a real point of difference. Hopefully the team can deliver a good performance and make it a memorable occasion for him.”

The Stormers have made several changes to their starting line-up. Warrick Gelant returns at fullback, prompting Damian Willemse to move back to inside centre, partnering with Dan du Plessis in midfield.

Willie Engelbrecht will start on the openside flank, while Neethling Fouche and Joseph Dweba join the front row.

Stormers Bench Depth and Attacking Intent

The Stormers’ bench features experienced players such as Frans Malherbe, JJ Kotze, and Leon Lyons in the front row, along with Adre Smith, Ben-Jason Dixon, and Marcel Theunissen. This depth will provide the team with valuable options as the match progresses.

Dobson emphasised the team’s attacking intent, stating, “We showed good attacking intent against Edinburgh, but we know we can be far more accurate, and we will certainly need to be against Ulster. It is another opportunity for us to move our game forward and we know we will get great support as ever at DHL Stadium.”

Stormers Welcoming Back an Old Friend

The DHL Stormers are also excited to welcome back an old friend to DHL Stadium this weekend. Fans are encouraged to come out and show their support for the team.

As the Stormers prepare to face a tough Ulster side, they will rely on the skills and experience of players like Hacjivah Dayimani to lead them to victory.

With a strong starting line-up and a deep bench, the Stormers are well-positioned to secure another win and continue their impressive form in the United Rugby Championship.
