HALF-TIME CHAT DID THE TRICK

The first half was a rather forgettable affair as WP took a 8-5 lead into the break.

Coach John Dobson’s half-time chat did the trick as two quick tries opened up a healthy lead for the home side.

And a try in the dying minutes by Steven Kitshoff gave WP a bonus-point win.

WP’s win saw them move into second place in the log, albeit having played one match more – and two in some cases – than the other sides in contention for playoff spots.

The Pumas left empty-handed and are for all intents and purposes out the running for the semi-finals.
