French club, Racing 92 has posted the first-ever photos of Rugby World Cup champion Trevor Nyakane since winning the 2023 Rugby World Cup title with the Springboks in France as seen in an Instagram post shared on Tuesday, 14 November.

The 34-year-old South African-born rugby player and the Springboks won the Webb Ellis trophy after making history as the four-time winners of the Rugby World Cup title. This comes after they beat the All Black 11-12 at the Stade De France stadium in Paris. And, after touring South Africa with the Springboks in their victorious trophy parade in Gauteng, Western Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, and the Eastern Cape two weeks ago, Trevor Nyakane has returned to Racing 92.

The seasoned Prop was signed by the French club back in 2021, EPCR reported. And, at the time, Racing 92 director Laurent Travers told L’Equipe reportedly said he was confident Nyakane would strengthen the team.
“It was in this position that we decided to strengthen ourselves. Trevor interested us because he has both the experience of the scrum and the experience of the very high level, with two World Cups played. We wanted someone who could help the team as well as transmit his knowledge, his maturity, his confidence,” Travers was quoted as saying.
The seasoned rugby player was allegedly paid an estimated R5 million as a transfer fee (around £237 000) to get him over to the French team, Planet Rugby reported. Rugby fans were delighted to see Nyakane with Racing 92 recently and glad to know he would be rubbing shoulders with Springbok captain Siya Kolisi who also officially joined the European team this week.
