Blitzboks drawn in tough pool for Perth Sevens
The Blitzboks have been grouped with log leaders Argentina, as well as Canada and Spain in a tough Pool A for the Perth Sevens.

The Blitzboks will have to do it the hard way if they are to succeed at the Perth Sevens in two weeks’ time after they were drawn in a pool with three tough opponents for the event.

The Perth Sevens will take place between 26 and 28 January, and the pool draws will take place in Australian city on Thursday, 11 January.
South Africa is currently second on the HSBC Sevens Series log after two tournaments, having won the Dubai tournament before an unsuccessful campaign in front of their home crowd at the Cape Town Sevens.
The Blitzboks had a disappointing weekend at the Cape Town SVNS in December, where they lost 7-31 to New Zealand in the fifth-place playoff.
Argentina, who are the Blitzboks’ pool rivals in Perth, currently occupy the top spot in the standings after winning the Cup in Cape Town and finishing as runners-up in Dubai.
Elsewhere, hosts Australia were drawn in a competitive-looking Pool B with Ireland, Great Britain and the USA, while Olympic champions Fiji will play reigning series title holders New Zealand alongside France and Samoa in a very strong-looking Pool C.
