Supersport stunned once again

Baroka FC finally broke a four-match winless streak when they beat Supersport United 3-1 at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Sunday.
This saw Bakgakga Ba Mphahlele move to fourth place one point ahead of Cape Town City, thanks to goals from Setladi Madubanya, Lucky Nguzana and Mduduzi Mdantsane.
It took the home side half an hour to find the back of the net as Nguzana nudged one under goalkeeper Reeyad Pieterse to open the scoring.
That jolted Supersport into action almost immediately as they searched for the equaliser, looking to avoid a second straight defeat. They would not find a goal in the first stanza as they went to the break still trailing.
The second half yielded a goal for the visitors, almost instantly, as defender Azubuike Egwuekwe got on the end of a set piece in the 52nd minute with a header to score his second goal in the last three matches.
It remained level for 20 minutes before Madubanya put Baroka back in front in almost identical fashion to Egwuekwe as he also headed through from close range.
The home side were in control of the game and, in the very last minute, they were rewarded with another goal – this time from Mdantsane who put the result beyond doubt – keeping Supersport in the bottom half of the table as they sit at 11th place with 10 games played.
Golden Arrows 0-0 Maritzburg United
There were no goals at Princess Magogo stadium as the KZN derby between Golden Arrows and Maritzburg United ended 0-0.
The visitors twice came close to scoring in the second half, both times through Mohau Mokate who could not steer his efforts towards goal as the game finished in a rather tame draw.
