Bidvest Wits strengthened their position at the top of the PSL log with a slim win over Maritzburg United on Friday night.

Bidvest Wits broke away ever so slightly from the chasing pack with a 1-0 win at home to the bottom placed Maritzburg United at Bidvest Stadium on Friday night.

The log leaders were made to wait for the breakthrough, as the game stretched until its final 10 minutes before a change to the scoreboard.

That came through journeyman, Lehlohonolo Majoro, who’s strike broke the deadlock, placing the Clever Boys a comfortable five points ahead of second-placed Orlando Pirates.
