Baroka FC vs Cape Town City: Head to head, teams, kick off and live stream

Cape Town City will want to keep the winning momentum going as they travel to Polokwane to take on Baroka at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Wednesday.

Benni McCarthy’s charges were impressive in their season opener as they dispatched of Supersport United, winning 2-0 at Cape Town Stadium.

Baroka, on the other hand, suffered an early setback in their 2018/19 campaign as they were edged by AmaZulu who ran off 1-0 winners at King Zwelithini Stadium on Saturday.

Teams

Having recently signed David Zulu from Kaizer Chiefs, Bakgakga have reportedly parted ways with the player without him even taking to the field in the club’s colours.

According to Soccer Laduma, the player is now training with National First Division outfit Maccabi FC.

Baroka could also be set to lose winger Talent Chawapiwa who is said to be on the shopping list of both Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns.

Cape Town City themselves have released a first-team player in Kenyan international Masoud Juma, who made just four appearances since joining the club in the January window.

His departure is to make way for Dutch goalkeeper Peter Leeuwenburg, who arrived with the club having exhausted their foreign player quota.
