Manchester City 2-1 West Ham

Manchester City were made to sweat for their 13th Premier League win in a row by dogged West Ham.

David Silva provided the EPL leaders’ second late win in four days.

And they restored their eight point lead at the top of the EPL table in the process.

The bus was well and truly parked from the first whistle by visiting boss David Moyes.

Keeper Adrian was even ticked off for time wasting by referee Mike Dean within the first ten minutes.

He was in goal to replace the on-loan City stopper Joe Hart, who was barred from taking part by his parent club.

The frustration increased when Angelo Ogbonna popped up to head in his first EPL goal for the Hammers just before interval.

But the pressure mounted at the other end after half time.

Nicolas Otamendi slid in to score from close range on 57 minutes as City levelled.

And Silva netted an acrobatic volley in the 83rd minute to make it a club record 23 games unbeaten for Pep Guardiola’s powerhouse.

Bournemouth 1-1 Southampton

Bournemouth could only manage a draw at the Vitality Stadium against south coast rivals Southampton.

Charlie’s Austin’s second half strike ensured the visitors would make the short trip home unbeaten.

Ryan Fraser had broken the deadlock three minutes before the end of a sparky first half when Wesley Hoedt’s ill-advised Cruyff turn led to a break from Josh King.

He laid it on to South Africa-born Andrew Surman, who squared for the diminutive Scottish winger to slot underneath the grasp of Fraser Forster.

But the Saints hit back on the hour mark.

Charlie Austin lost marker Nathan Ake at the near post before firing in from eight yards out.
