Manchester United 2-1 Arsenal

Manchester United struck a Fergie Time winner to ruin Arsene Wenger’s final game in charge of Arsenal at Old Trafford, under the gaze of Sir Alex Ferguson himself.

As a two-decade personal enmity came to a close, it was substitute Marouane Fellaini who spoiled the Gunners’ afternoon.

But not before Sir Alex had joined current boss Jose Mourinho in a shock pitchside presentation to the Frenchman just before kick off.

It was a classy move from the hosts, but Paul Pogba put an end to the pleasantries inside 17 minutes.

Romelu Lukaku’s hooping cross came to the lurking Alexis Sanchez, whose deflected header came back off the post and into the path of the Frenchman.

There could have been a strange second as Ashley Young miscued a cross straight into the near post with keeper David Ospina flat-footed.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan haunted his old club in fine style, though, on 51 minutes.

The Armenian was flogged to the Gunners after a torrid spell in the north west but he took advantage of time and space to find the bottom corner with United statue-esque at the back.

United thought they had a last-gasp winner when substitute Marcus Rashford forced in yet another rebound off the post in the 89th minute.

The eagle-eyed linesman had spotted Marouane Fellaini’s flick-on header, however, that left the youngster in an offside position.

But the Belgian wasn’t to be denied two minutes later.

He rose highest as the pressure piled on in front of the Stretford End, beating the retreating David Ospina.

The win guarantees a top four finish for the Red Devils, who have also strengthened their grip on second spot behind neighbours City.

West Ham 1-4 Manchester City

Manchester City brought up 100 Premier League goals for the season in a procession against limp West Ham at the London Stadium.

It took them 13 minutes to reach goal 99.

Leroy Sane cut in from the right and saw his shot deflect past keeper Adrian via the bonce of Patrice Evra.

City reached their century ten minutes later when Kevin de Bruyne’s fizzing cross bounced in off the shins of their former defender Pablo Zabaleta.

But the Hammers hit back after Edmilson Fernandes was fouled by Ilkay Gundogan just inside the box.

Referee Neil Swarbrick and his linesman decided to give a free kick instead – and had already missed a blatant offside in the build up.

But Aaron Cresswell didn’t much care as he curled in a beauty of a set piece to give life to the hosts just before half time.

It wasn’t particularly well deserved and it didn’t last long.

Raheem Sterling jinked in from the right on 53 minutes and squared for the arriving Gabriel Jesus, who took a touch and slotted in.

Fernandinho guided in the fourth from 12 yards after another Sterling centre.

Swansea 0-1 Chelsea

Chelsea are clinging on in the race for Champions League qualification after sneaking a win at Swansea.

The Blues were ahead inside four minutes thanks to Cesc Fabregas.

Eden Hazard seized on a loose ball in midfield and played in the Spaniard, who lashed in for his 50th Premier League goal.

The duo combined again in the 21st minute before Swansea midfielder Alfie Mawson so nearly put through his own net with a hacking clearance that bounced off the top of the crossbar.

Antonio Conte’s side then struggled to kill the game off despite their dominance.

Victor Moses couldn’t quite convert from close range in the 73rd minute after more good work from Hazard.

And they were nearly punished when Andre Ayew curled inches wide.

Gary Cahill also received a let-off from referee Jon Moss when he clattered Nathan Dyer in the box.

But they’d done enough to just about stay in the top four reckoning.

Liverpool 0-0 Stoke

Liverpool lost more ground on Manchester United in the race for second in the Premier League after failing to find a way past stubborn Stoke.

Quite the difference in atmosphere after the 5-2 Champions League mauling of Roma in midweek.

Anfield was stunned within minutes of kick off by a startling revelation: Mohamed Salah is a human being.

The Egyptian goal machine burst through one-on-one with visiting keeper Jack Butland after Erik Pieters had gone AWOL.

Adjusting his usual chip over the advancing stopper, Salah somehow missed to the wrong side of the right-hand post.

Danny Ings then fired in from an acute angle moments before half time, only to be denied by the offside flag.

Georginio Wijnaldum’s late cross clattered off the outstretched arm of Pieters in the box inside the last ten minutes.

There was nothing doing from the officials, though.

And it nearly got worse for the Reds up the other end in the 88th minute when Ryan Shawcross almost turned in at the far post.

Southampton 2-1 Bournemouth

Southampton kept their Premier League survival hopes alive with a vital win over south coast rivals Bournemouth.

Dusan Tadic went through to finish smoothly in the 24th minute when one-on-one with Bournemouth keeper Asmir Begovic.

But for all their pressure, Saints slipped up when Josh King was allowed to score at the far post from a corner.

Tadic was on hand, though, to restore the lead the other side of half time after breaking free of the defensive shackles again.

Crystal Palace 5-0 Leicester

Crystal Palace blazed towards EPL safety with a thumping victory over sleepwalking Leicester.

Wilfried Zaha put Palace into a 17th minute lead when he fired home after James McArthur’s classy back heel

The pair switched roles to double the lead as McArthur made it two on 38 minutes.

It went from bad to worse for the Foxes when Marc Albrighton was sent off for a rugby tackle on Zaha as the last man.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek danced around keeper Ben Hamer before tucking away the third.

Patrick van Aanholt added the fourth and Christian Benteke a penalty for number five as Leicester fell apart.

Huddersfield 0-2 Everton

Everton came away from Huddersfield with a win as their fans called for an end to Sam Allardyce’s reign as boss.

Big money signing Cenk Tosun found the inside of the post five minutes before the break to put the Toffees ahead.

And Idrissa Gueye pulled off a similar feat on 77 minutes to double the lead after a touch from Leighton Baines.

Newcastle 0-1 West Brom

West Brom are clinging on to their EPL status by their fingertips after pulling off a win at lacklustre Newcastle.

Matt Phillips produced a solid finish to put the Baggies into a shock lead after latching on to Jake Livermore’s pass.

Burnley 0-0 Brighton

Burnley and Brighton scrapped and squabbled their way to a scoreless draw at Turf Moor.

Keeper Nick Pope kept out a Pascal Gross effort early in the second half before Sam Vokes fluffed a header at the other end.
