Their run, stretching back to August, nearly came unstuck in unlikely fashion at the weekend. Still, they held on and are running away at the top of the table.

Arsenal, meanwhile, face newly-promoted Huddersfield at The Emirates on Wednesday with half an eye on third place in the Premier League table. For all the moaning around Arsene Wenger – the club is making way towards that fourth place trophy this season.

Chelsea are up against an embattled Swansea with the Blues looking to extend their five-match unbeaten run since their shock slip up at basement dwellers Crystal Palace in mid-October.

This all while Liverpool need to perform on a cold Wednesday night at Stoke – as the saying nearly goes – to keep up the pressure on their Premier League top four rivals.

In Wednesday night’s mid-table tussle, Bournemoth hosts Burnley while Everton and West Ham battle it out at the bottom to round off a night of pretty tasty fixtures.
