Following his breakthrough season at Mamelodi Sundowns, star forward Percy Tau is likely to turn up in different colours when the 2018/19 season begins in July.

The 24-year-old was the breakaway star in the Pretoria side’s successful league campaign, where he finished as joint goal scorer with Polokwane City’s Rodney Magalela at 11 goals, helping the Brazilians to a record eighth PSL title.

His form also saw him score three big nominations at the PSL awards set to take place on Tuesday night, where he is up for the coveted ABSA Premiership Player of the Year award.

According to KickOff, his coach Pitso Mosimane admitted that the club is already preparing for life without their superstar, who is likely to attract suitors elsewhere.

“It is not up to me, let’s be realistic,” he told the publication.

“He (Tau) has done very well and we should expect somebody from Europe.

“There are talks already. I’m preparing that I’m losing him. It is going to be tough for us.”

Another player who was rumoured to be on his way out of the club is Zimbabwean international, Khama Billiat, but Mosimane is confident that the club will remain at Chloorklop.

Sundowns are also believed to be one of the front-runners for the highly sought after signature of Bafana midfielder, Andile Jali alongside Kaizer Chiefs, while his former club, Orlando Pirates is said to be also in the race for his services.

Percy Tau’s next home

Tau was linked with a move to Danish side Midtylland during the January transfer window, but the move never materialised.

More recent reports suggest interest in the striker from Russian outfit, FC Rostov while there has also been reported interest from France as well.
