The South African is led to believe that Orlando Pirates are preparing a contract extension for star midfielder Makhehlene Makhaula.
Makhaula has been a good signing for Pirates since his arrival from AmaZulu and he is expected to receive a contract extension.

The hard-working midfielder’s contract is set to expire in June next year and talk is that Pirates are already preparing a new offer for him.
PIRATES PREPARING CONTRACT EXTENSION FOR STAR MIDFIELDER
A local football publication reports that Makhaula has impressed the technical lead by Pirates coach Jose Riveiro.
Phakaaathi reports that the former Free State Stars midfielder has impressed with his commitment to the club and determination to do well whenever he is given a chance to play.

“I don’t think there is anyone who has not been impressed by Makhaula since he joined the club,” a source tells Phakaaathi.
“He started slow, but once he got to adjust we began to see how good he is and why he brought to Pirates.
” He is a really good player who is very serious about his work. His work ethic says a lot about him, I think that’s why coach Riveiro (Jose) likes him so much.”

The 33-year-old Randfontein-born star joined the reigning MTN8 champions, Pirates from Usuthu back in January this year.
At Pirates, Makhaula competes with the likes of Thabang Monare, Miguel Timm, and Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo among others.
“His contract is coming to an end next year in June, so, there has to be talks regarding a contract extension,” adds the source.

“I heard that the people who deal with such stuff are already preparing something for him.
“It’s too early, I know, but you have to act quickly when it comes to such stuff. You don’t even want to make the player think otherwise and let him have deals with other teams.”

Meanwhile, the seasoned defensive midfielder could be in action for Pirates when they face Cape Town Spurs in the Carling Knockout Cup on Friday night.
