Orlando Pirates legend Innocent Chikoya is seeming unhappy as he blasts striker Terrence Dzvukamanja for not being honest with the club.

Orlando Pirates legend Innocent Chikoya is unhappy and blasts his fellow countryman, Terrence Dzvukamanja for dumping the Soweto giants.

Chikoya said he would have loved to see the Zimbabwean star, Dzvukamanja staying at Pirates and remaining loyal to the club.

He added that the former Bidvest Wits star was not loyal to the reigning MTN8 and Nedbank Cup winners when he said he was going home but he knew he was heading to SuperSport United.

PIRATES LEGEND UNHAPPY & BLASTS DZVUKAMANJA

The retired left-back said the new SuperSport star was not honest with the 1995 African champions and expressed unhappiness over the 29-year-old’s decision.

Pirates announced this week that the player requested to attend to a family matter but they were shocked to receive an offer from the Gavin Hunt-coached club.

“I heard that the boy wanted to go to Zimbabwe, that was his reason,” Chikoya told KickOff.

“He didn’t do the right thing, he was supposed to be honest with the club. He could’ve said, you know what I think I have served the club with distinction, I think I tried my best and it’s time for me to move to another chapter.

“You cannot say you’re going home when you’re going to SuperSport. He finished the season well and as a Zimbabwean and a Buccaneer, I’m not happy he left.”

The South African reported immediately after the statement from Pirates that the fans were also not happy but some wished the player the best of luck.

Dzvukamanja will reunite with former Wits players at SuperSport including Thulani Hlatshwayo and Phathutshedzo Nange who are working with the award-winning Hunt.

The fans took to their social media accounts to share their reactions to the statement on Dzukamanja as released by Pirates on Monday afternoon.

Pirates said they have received an approach from SuperSport for the former Clever Boys striker’s services, and they have accepted it.
