Sean Strickland dived over other fans in the arena to attack his next challenger Dricus Du Plessis in wild scenes overnight.

In incredible scenes that even caught Joe Rogan off-guard, Sean Strickland dived over other fans in the arena to attack his next challenger Dricus Du Plessis at UFC 296.
After the pair split a spicy faceoff earlier on Saturday which might have provided some clue as to what would happen when they were seated close together at the UFC show.

Sean Strickland attacks No 1 Contender Dricus Du Plessis
It seems that Du Plessis and Strickland traded trashtalk and both men seemed to be laughing it up until the American pounced.

The two men, who meet for the middleweight championship in Toronto on 20 January, had to be pulled apart after they got into it during the show.
Broken up
UFC security and UFC CEO Dana White were quick to break up the pair, while according to Jon Anik on the broadcast, Strickland was later removed from the venue.

After the pull apart brawl through the stands, Du Plessis responded by writing on X, formerly known as Twitter,: “Now I understand why you have a 33% finish rate, you hit like a girl, also 20 January the security won’t be there to save your life when I’m on top.”
Sean Strickland’s mental state questioned
Meanwhile Sean Strickland would also take to X although good luck to you if you understand what he wrote: “I go hard on everyone I know this, izzy mouth feeding his dog, Dricus kissing his coach and grabbing his cup. Omally talking about sharing his wife in a podcast.
“You’re a man, on a world stage doing this in public
“And what do you pick?
“‘You got abused as a kid ha'”
UFC boss White has yet to respond to the brawl but he is likely to take a dim view of anyone faoling to wait to get into the Octagon.
