As also reported by The South African, Kaizer Chiefs defender Sifiso Hlanti is in limbo waiting for a contract extension from the management.
Hlanti’s current contract expires at the end of June 2024 and the Amakhosi hierarchy is yet to table a new contract.

It is widely reported that the Chiefs defender has an option to extend beyond June but the management is yet to offer a new contract or extension.
The former Bidvest Wits defender completed his move to the Naturena-based Chiefs back in 2021 after a stint with the beleaguered Soweto giant, Moroka Swallows.
CHIEFS DEFENDER IN LIMBO – WAITING ON CONTRACT EXTENSION
According to iDiski Times, the former Telkom Knockout Cup and DStv Premiership winner with Wits, Hlanti is waiting for Chiefs to table a new contract.

The seasoned and former Bafana Bafana defender has been instrumental for Amakhosi this term as he featured in 14 matches including a single assist across all competitions so far.
“Hlanti has an option in his contract,” Hlanti’s agent Sizwe Ntshangase told iDiski Times.
“We will wait for the club [Kaizer Chiefs] to see what’s gonna happen, they are back next week.”

CHIEFS VETERAN DEFENDER TO HOLD CRUNCH TALKS
Just this week, The South African reported that Chiefs management is set to hold crunch talks with the veteran defender Hlanti.

“It’s a difficult situation when it comes to Hlanti because they will have to find a suitable replacement for him,” a source told Phakaaathi’s Mgosi Squad.

“But, what I hear is that they don’t have any intentions of keeping him. The main issue here is money, and another thing is that Hlanti is injury prone.”
