Heyneke Meyer’s fate as Bok coach will be decided in December.

The South African Rugby Union (SARU) will have its general council meeting on 11 December and at the top of the agenda is the future of Heyneke Meyer.

Rumours have swayed between Meyer having already signed a four-year extensions to now having only been offered a one-year extension. Opinion is divided over whether he is the best man for the job and the bookies have John Plumtree as favourite to take over. Former Stormers coach, Allister Coetzee, is another name that is being bandied about.

However, World Cup winning ex-Bok, James Small, reckons Lions coach Johan Ackermann should be at the top of the list.
