According to SA History, there’s more than one national food for SA.

South Africa’s national dish is bobotie, even though it’s not official.

A stew made with a unique milk and bread gravy brings back memories for many South Africans.

Biltong and koeksisters are also mentioned for national dishes, while some believe it should be boerewors or shisanyama.
