First entries received for 2024 WSB Cape Town Met

A first entry of 33 horses was received for the 162nd edition of the WSB Cape Town Met which will be run at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth.

A first entry of 33 horses was received on Wednesday for the 162nd edition of the R2 million WSB Grade 1 Cape Town Met which will be run at a revamped Hollywoodbets Kenilworth on Saturday, 27 January 2024.

According to the SportingPost website, among the early entrants are Saturday’s Betway Summer Cup winner Royal Victory, as well as Cape Town favourite Charles Dickens.

The race will be run over 2 000m.

Seven of the entrants hail from the Justin Snaith yard.

For racegoers, the fashion theme for next year’s race is ‘Cape Splendour’.
