Here’s a list of WWE released STARS after UFC merger

Several WWE Superstars were reportedly released from their contracts following WWE’s merger with UFC last week.

With WWE set to merge with UFC under TKO Group Holdings, the company has released several wrestlers this week.

This is the first time that WWE has released a whole list of wrestlers since the Covid-19 pandemic.

In 2020, top stars such as Mat Hardy, Kurt Angle, Zack Ryder and many more.

WWE release Ziggler, Benjamin and more

On Thursday, it was announced that Mustafa Ali was no longer with WWE. The high flying wrestler shared the news on his Twitter account. “I am no longer working with WWE. I am looking foward to the future. Thank you,” he tweeted.

Ali spent seven years in WWE and was scheduled to wrestle Dominik Mysterio for the NXT North American Championship next Saturday.

Another big name that was released is Elias. The guitar playing wrestler was in the company for spent nine and recently ran a storyline where he portrayed his character’s canonical brother, Ezekiel.

Another big name that was cut from the roster is Shelton Benjamin. The 38-year-old first made his debut back in 2002 as part of Team Angle but was let go in 2010. In 2018, Benjamin returned to WWE for one last run, which lasted over five years.

Dolph Ziggler, is another wrestler that was released. The former WWE, also known as the “Show Off”, is reportedly on his way to AEW. He spent over 14 years in the company, winning the WWE championship.

Here is the list of wrestlers released so far by the World Wrestling Entertainment; Elias, Mustafa Ali, Rick Boogs, Riddick Moss, Top Dolla, Shelton Benjamin and Dolph Ziggler.
