Dricus du Plessis earned his shot at the UFC middleweight title – with the bout taking place this weekend in Canada – by defeating Australian Robert Whittaker in a second-round TKO in July, during which he let out his now-famous phrase: “Hulle weet nie wat ons weet nie” (They don’t know what we know).

The mantra was also adopted by SA Rugby director of rugby Rassie Erasmus during the Springboks’ successful Rugby World Cup title defence in France last year.

Du Plessis was present in Paris and passionately threw his support behind the Springboks during the World Cup final against New Zealand, while the Bok players have now returned the favour with a variety of videos showing their backing for the UFC star.
