In their quest for PSL survival, Cape Town Spurs sign ex-Mamelodi Sundowns star who finds a new home in the Mother City.

Ex-Mamelodi Sundowns star striker Bradley Ralani finds a new home in the Mother City as he joins Cape Town Spurs.

Ralani parted ways with Sundowns at the end of the previous campaign after winning the DStv Premiership title with the Tshwane giants, he finds a new home.

As The South African reported, the Kimberley-born star, Ralani was linked with a move to TS Galaxy but the deal failed and now returns to the Mother City.

EX-SUNDOWNS STAR FINDS NEW HOME IN THE MOTHER CITY

The struggling Mother City-based PSL returnees, Spurs took to social media to release a statement and confirmed the signing.

“NEW SIGNING ALERT: A Surprise is always a good thing! Amethyst Bradley “Surprise” Ralani signs with the Urban Warriors! Welcome Warrior!” said the club.

As Spurs sit at the bottom of the log table with no victory, Ralani will be expected to play a massive role as they look to salvage their top-flight status.

RALANI MOVES TO A NEW HOME AFTER SUNDOWNS EXIT

Looking at the 36-year-old star’s statistics at the Chloorkop-based Sundowns, Ralani joined Masandawna from Cape Town City back in January 2022.

Under coach Manqoba Mgqithi and Rulani Mokwena, he made 16 appearances in the second stanza of the 2021/22 campaign plus in the lucrative CAF Champions League where he played in five matches.

He also netted five goals for Sundowns but he found himself down the pecking order in the 2022/23 season.

Ralani could only afford 13 appearances across the past term and netted only two goals before he was deemed surplus to requirements.
