Tottenham 5-2 Southampton

Harry Kane scored another hat-trick as Tottenham hammered Southampton 5-1 in their Boxing Day outing. Kane’s hat-trick helped him set a new record for the most Premier League goals in a year and will finish as Europe’s leading scorer for 2017.

Kane scored a brace in the first half with Dele Alli adding Spurs’ third in the 49th minute. Alli then set up Son Heung who drilled home two minutes later.

Sofiane Boufal then managed a consolation goal, with a low strike whizzing under Hugo Lloris, but Kane was on another level and added his third soon after.

Dusan Tadic added a second for the struggling Saints with a lofted effort, but it was too little too late.

Bournemouth 3-3 West Ham

Bournemouth and West Ham had to share the points in a dramatic final ten minutes that yielded three goals.
The scores were tied 1-1 at half-time with James Collins had given the Hammers the lead and Dan Gosling levelling before the break.
Two Marko Arnautovic goals inside the last ten minutes put West Ham back in the lead before a rather controversial incident saw the Cherries salvage a point.
Callum Wilson scored a late equaliser, nudging in a Nathan Ake header. The goal was initially disallowed for being offside, only for referee Bobby Madley to change his mind after reviewing.

Chelsea 2-0 Brighton

Chelsea secured their sixth straight win at home with Brighton having nothing to show from their trip to Stamford Bridge on Boxing Day.

Alvaro Morata headed his tenth Premier League goal from Cesar Azpilicueta’s cross just a minute into the second half.

The goal galvanised the Blues’ attack and  Marcos Alonso sealed the win just a few moments later with a header from Cesc Fabregas’ corner.

Huddersfield 1-1 Stoke

An equaliser from Ramadan Sobhi in the second half helped Stoke secure a valuable point when they visited Huddersfield on Tuesday.
Tom Ince gave the Terriers the lead after minutes when he side-footed in Collin Quaner’s pull-back from close range.
Stoke had some opportunities early in the second half, but could not finish.
After the break, Huddersfield dominated, but Stoke finally took their chances and then held on for a much-needed point.

Manchester United 2-2 Burnley

Jesse Lingard’s 91st-minute equaliser spared Manchester United’s blushes as they snatched a 2-2 draw against Burnley.

Burnley had muscled their way in 0-2 in front by half-time and looked set to take three points, even after Lingard had scored his first of the match.

However, deep into stoppage time, Lingard struck again. The Reds threw everything at it with a whopping five minutes to play, but could not find the breakthrough.

Watford 2-1 Leicester

Watford ended their six-game winless run by coming from behind to beat Leicester City.
Riyad Mahrez scored the Foxes’ only goal, heading in from a Marc Albrighton’s cross.
Molla Wague then equalised against his former club while a Kasper Schmeichel own goal secured the win for the Hornets.

West Brom 0-0 Everton

Everton continued their organised defensive effort while West Brom extended their winless Premier League streak to 18 games as the two sides played out to a goalless draw on Tuesday.

Toffees winger Yannick Bolasie returned from injury for the first time this year, but couldn’t inspire his side to find more than one point.

Liverpool 5-0 Swansea

Liverpool’s 1-0 half-time lead was no indication of what was to come as they hammered Swansea 5-0 at Anfield.

Philippe Coutinho, wearing the captain’s armband for the day, scored first, curling into the top corner after just six minutes.
Things continued to tick along until the floodgates opened in the second half.
Roberto Firmino scored twice in eight minutes with  Trent Alexander-Arnold squeezing in one more goal in-between as the Reds ran riot against bottom-of-the-table Swansea.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain added his first home goal in Liverpool colours in the 82nd minute and Jurgen Klopp’s side leapfrogged Spurs back into the top four.
