Manchester City continue their Premier League title defence at home to Huddersfield on Sunday.

Pep Guardiola’s champions come into the Etihad Stadium clash against the minnows off the back of the perfect start.

Goals from Raheem Sterling and Bernardo ensured an ominous opening win at Arsenal last weekend.

The ease with which the Gunners were swatted aside at the Emirates was a clear indication that standards remain sky high for the Sky Blues.

And there’s plenty more to come, with City barely breaking sweat as Emery’s side toiled.

Sterling drifted from left to right on the edge of the box before picking out a neat early finish past Petr Cech.

Silva found further reward for City’s dominance the other side of half time, bending a first-time effort into the top left-hand corner.

Huddersfield were on the receiving end of an opening day battering of their own.

Chelsea came away from the John Smith’s Stadium with all three goals and all three points on Saturday.

David Wagner’s side, new signings and all, had no answer to Maurizio Sarri’s Blues.

N’Golo Kante, Jorgino and Pedro were all on target, with Steve Mounie striking a post for the Terriers before half time.

It’s a brutal first few fixtures for the Yorkshire side after their unlikely survival in the Premier League last time around.

Early points remain a must to avoid playing catch-up in what was a frenetic bottom half of the table last season.

But on the upside – they won’t have to visit the EPL champions for at least another year.
