The South African women destroyed the West Indies in their World Cup fixture on Sunday. Winning the toss and choosing to bowl first, South Africa dismissed the Windies for 48 in 25.2 overs and then knocked off the required runs in just 62.2 overs.
For context, here are some bowling figures from the South Africans.
Shabnim Ismail: 6-1-16-2
Marizanne Kapp: 7-2-14-4
Ayabonga Khaka: 4-2-7-0
Moseline Daniels: 5-2-11-0
And, don’t adjust your screen, Dane van Niekerk 3.2-3-0-4. Yep, that’s four wickets for niks, nada, fokkol.
And after all of that, the women weren’t done yet.
They are #AlwaysRising.
