Sri Lanka name squad for Proteas ODI and T20I series

Sri Lanka on Monday recalled former skipper Dinesh Chandimal into a 22-member squad led by Dasun Shanaka for their ODI and T20I series against South Africa.

Chandimal, 31, was dropped after a disappointing tour of the West Indies in March. He missed series against England and India.

Sri Lanka have also added the uncapped Pulina Tharanga and Maheesh Theekshana for the three-match ODI series starting on Thursday 2, September.

The remaining matches will be played on Saturday, 4 September and Tuesday, 7 September.

All three clashes will begin at 11:30 SA time.

Following the ODI series, the sides will engage in a three-match T20I series, starting on Friday, 10 September with the remaining matches scheduled for Sunday, 12 September and Tuesday, 14 September.

All three T20I will start at 16:30 SA time.

All six matches will be played at the Premadasa stadium in Colombo without spectators due to Covid-19 health guidelines.
