With the Rugby World Cup on the go at the same time, and not particularly high expectations following the Proteas, there has not been much of a noticeable buzz about the Cricket World Cup as yet.

However it shouldn’t be forgotten that the cricket showpiece will actually begin this week on Thursday, 5 October, when title holders England take on New Zealand.

Meanwhile, the Proteas will play two days later against Sri Lanka in what is a crucial clash before then facing rivals Australia.
