Proteas star delays wedding plans, wins T20 tournament
Proteas star David Miller apparently delayed his wedding plans after a belated call-up to the Bangladesh Premier League.

In August last year, Proteas star David Miller announced his engagement to fiancé Camilla Harris on 31 August 2023, having dropped the knee during a vacation to Victoria Falls.
With wedding planning well under way, Miller was initially not expected to feature in the Bangladesh Premier League, but was belatedly lured into the team camp to join the Fortune Barishal team during the latter stages of the tournament.
He only joined the team camp on February 21, before quickly going on to feature through the playoffs as the team went on to win the trophy.
According to reports, Miller delayed his wedding to be available for Fortune Barishal, with the team thankfully going on to triumph in the final.

Miller has recently spoken about the congested cricket schedule and the importance of carefully managing how much cricket he plays.
“There’s a lot of cricket nowadays, internationally and leagues,” he added. “Your schedule can get quite busy. I just listen to my own body, especially at this time of my career.
“I don’t want to play so much cricket I’m feeling mentally fatigued. It’s just about listening to your body and knowing when you need a break.
“And just to be honest about that. There’s a lot of money involved in cricket nowadays. So it’s important to make mature decisions about whether you really need a break or if you can keep going.”
