Kaizer Chiefs fans will breathe a sigh of relief as they finally land their most prized target in the form of Marumo Gallants striker Ranga Chivaviro, Gallants have confirmed the developments.

Gallants released a media statement on Friday and confirmed the lanky striker, Chivaviro’s next destination as he joins Chiefs who have targetted him for a long time.

Amakhosi have always been linked with one of the hot properties in the DStv Premiership, Chivaviro as he banged in crucial goals last season.

However, despite Chivaviro’s goalscoring prowess, Gallnats failed to save their top-flight status as they were relegated to the Motsepe Foundation Championship.

CHIEFS FINALLY LAND CHIVAVIRO FROM GALLANTS

The Limpopo-based club, Gallants announced several departures from the club as some of the players have joined clubs such as Chiefs in the elite division.

Despite Chivaviro denying the news, he has been linked with a move to Naturena and he was spotted during Chiefs’ recent photoshoot yet the player denied it.

While there were also reports that he has joined Richards Bay and the club previously announced it, Chivaviro could not confirm or deny the news in a recent interview as reported by The South African.

Furthermore, Chiefs battled it out with African giants in Young Africans, Future FC, Al Akdhar, and Saudi Arabia who tabled offers for the 30-year-old hitman.

The new Chiefs striker, Chivaviro scored an impressive 17 goals across all competitions in the previous campaign for Gallants.

CHIVAVIRO LEADS MASS PLAYER EXODUS AT MARUMO GALLANTS

As they head to the lower division, Gallants have been hit with player exodus and several players have joined Premiership clubs such as Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates.

Chivaviro’s departure follows that of Lesiba Nku who has joined the reigning league champions, Sundowns and he was unveiled on Thursday.

On the other hand, Pirates have since confirmed the signing of Katlego Otladisa while defender Ismeal Toure has completed his switch to Stellenbosch FC.
