Bernard Parker returns to full training for TS Galaxy

TS Galaxy striker Bernard Parker returns to full training with his teammates after recovering from a horrific injury.

The ex-Kaizer Chiefs star, sustained an injury against Mamelodi Sundowns in a Carling Knockout Cup clash last year.

Speaking to TimesLIVE, Parker confirms his return to full training with his Galaxy teammates under coach Sead Ramovic.

‘Die Hond as Parker is known, says he says he needs permission from the Galaxy team physio before returning to action.

Parker was tackled by Sundowns star Bongani Zungu in October but says he is excited to return to full training.

PARKER RETURNS BUT WAITING FOR GALAXY PHYSIO

The veteran striker also says he will be ready to play for Galaxy after six weeks as he waits on the physio.

“Once I get permission from the physio in terms of strength and the physical trainer for fitness,” says Parker to TimesLIVE.

“I could be available for selection. t is usually a six-week fitness cycle.

“And I have been training for the past two months.

“So I think I should be ready to play within the six-week period.  

“Most definitely I may play before the end of the season.

“I am more than ready to come back and compete again because the doctor said this leg will be stronger than the other one.

“I am more eager to go into tackles to test myself and I can’t wait.”

Parker adds that immediately working on his recovery helped him because he didn’t want to stay at home.

“The best decision I made was to immediately work on it,” adds the Galaxy star, Parker.

“Instead of sitting at home and gaining weight. I didn’t give that a chance

“It is definitely a yes from the doctor. He is happy with the rehabilitation process.”
