The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) have announced their social grant payment dates for the month of December.
If you are collecting your social grant (or know someone who is), it can help to know which day to expect or collect your payment ahead of time.

Grants like the R350 SRD Grant, Disability Grant, and the Child Care Grant will be paid out to recipients from next month.

SASSA grant payment dates for December
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) have announced their grant payment dates for the month of December.
Older Persons (Pensioners) and Disability Grants are paid first, after which other social grants can be expected to pay out.
Approved grants will be paid out to recipients on the following dates:
- Older Persons/ Pensioners Grant: Friday, 1 December
- Disability Grant: Monday, 4 December
- All other Grants:Tuesday, 5 December
Which SASSA grant pays first?
According to SASSA, the first grants to pay to recipients will be the Older Persons/Pensioners grant.

After this, the Disability and other grants can be expected on 4 and 5 December.
If your grant gets Rejected for any reasons, you might have to appeal by contacting the social grant agency.
Collecting your grant
Social grants can be collected at participating retailers, or at any Regional Offices.

Social grant recipients can also apply to have their grant paid into their bank account as an alternative payment method.
