Pupil allegedly shot and killed robber who stabbed his father in front of him – report
An Eastern Cape pupil witnessed his father being stabbed to death and allegedly picked up his dad’s gun and shot the assailant.

A pupil in the Eastern Cape was reportedly robbed by a trio of robbers near a taxi rank on Wednesday, 16 February. He notified his father and while searching for the alleged suspects things took a tragic turn.
PUPIL ALLEGEDLY AVENGES FATHER
According to News24, the incident played out at the bustling Hewu taxi rank in Komani.
The local police spokesperson Captain Namhla Mdleleni told the publication how a pupil was robbed of his cellphone and clothes by three suspects while he was walking home from school.
The boy told his father what happened and the pair searched for the men who were spotted at the taxi rank.
Captain Namhla said once spotted, one of the suspects approached the father and stabbed him to death. The pupil allegedly retaliated by taking a firearm from his dad’s dead body and shooting the suspect who also died at the scene.
The Komani police have opened an inquest docket and a murder case for further investigation.
