According to the South African Weather Service (SAWS), the weather in Kwazulu-Natal (KZN) could remain rainy for the rest of the week.

Rainstorms continued throughout the Kwazulu-Natal province after a heatwave that affected most of Southern Africa. Rainy weather could continue for KZN for at least a few more days this week, including today.

KZN weather for today, 5 December

Weather in Kwazulu-Natal could continue to be rainy, with the potential for thunderstorms towards the evening.

This is according to the South African Weather Service (SAWS), who updates the weather report for each province throughout the day.

Temperatures could remain cold, in spite of the heatwave that South Africa has faced in recent days.

If you are in KZN, you are advised to brace for colder weather and be aware of potentially dangerous conditions if you intend to travel.

KZN weather remains rainy for the week

KZN weather could remain rainy for the rest of the week, with partial thunderstorms and rain predicted for some parts of the coastal province.

While the province has also faced a heatwave in recent weeks, temperatures could remain cold until the rain has ceased.

In the event of thunderstorms, people are advised to stay indoors and avoid electricity and water sources in the middle of storms.
