It has emerged that a Zimbabwean notorious robber was shot and killed by South African police after robbing a jewellery store in Plettenberg Bay, Western Cape.
ZIMBABWEAN NOTORIOUS ROBBER NO MORE
According to Intelligence Bureau SA, this Zimbabwean gangster who was known by the nickname Toba, allegedly committed numerous robberies in South Africa and Zimbabwe, before his demise.

NO SYMPATHY FOR JEWELLERY GANGSTER
Although the death of a person is generally met with sorrow, Toba’s death has somewhat restored hope in the police.

FOREIGN NATIONALS UP TO NO GOOD
Related, Randburg, north of Johannesburg became much safer following the arrests of bogus Zimbabwean taxi association patrollers in October.
The Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) spokesperson Xolani Fihla confirmed that their Undercover Reaction Unit arrested five male suspects (Zimbabwean) in Randburg for extortion and kidnapping.
On 26 October 2022, officers received information of suspects pretending to be taxi association patrollers affiliated with PRS taxi association in Pretoria, who were extorting money from unsuspecting motorists giving lifts to hitchhikers in the Randburg area.
Further information was received that the suspects were driving around in a silver-grey Volvo S40.
Whilst on patrol along Malibongwe Drive and the N1 searching for the suspects, officers identified the vehicle matching the description used in the commission of the crime. They tactically approached and stopped the vehicle.
All five men were put behind bars.
