Zimbabwean musician NABBED for hijacking in South Africa

It is reported that the Zimbabwean born star Platinum Prince was nabbed after he attempted to hijack a diesel tanker in South Africa.

Zimbabwean musician, who goes by the name Platinum Prince, has made headlines after allegedly being implicated in a hijacking incident in South Africa.

It is reported that Platinum Prince, popular in the Zimbabwean dancehall culture in Harare, was nabbed after he attempted to hijack a diesel tanker in the country.


“Zimbabwean Artist Platinum Prince caught trying to hijack a diesel tanker in South Africa,” Wemabars confirmed on Twitter.

It is also reported that the botched hijacking was performed alongside an accomplice who was also nabbed, and both “paid” for their wrongdoing.

iHarare reports that Platinum Prince was ruthlessly beaten to a pulp after being caught red-handed.


It is unclear which part of the country where the incident occurred. But what is known is that the intervention by those who discovered the unfolding crime escalated the situation into a merciless confrontation, leaving the artist battered and bruised, iHarare elaborated.

FELLOW ARTIST DISTRAUGHT BY THE INCIDENT


DopeQueen Worldwide shared her disappointment on social media while reacting to this shocking ordeal.

“My beloved ZIMDANCEHALL is this where we have come to, we are doing all sorts to survive now we either joining Politicians or stealing because we all failed to do one simple thing, UNITE in our music system then push this movement to greater heights,” she said on Facebook.


“Why should they say artists in Zimbabwe are broke when they have talents. TALENT is MONEY.”

She added: “There is money in music, but that money can only be located if we follow the right structures and protocols of a working music system. Look at South Africa, the Gqom and Amapianos youths have gone viral Worldwide, and they are catching flights every day whilst Zimdancehall youths and elders are turning into thugs, drug dealers, Satanists, drug abusers, witches, wizards and politician puppets. This is so sad really my heart is broken, Platinum Prince Ndururani 62K Facebook followers for this sad ending, sedhanzi hakuna kwatirikuenda zve kana zvadai”.

The South African awaits an official statement from the South African Police Service (SAPS).
