The Senzo Meyiwa murder trial was postponed to Thursday, 20 July after State witness Zandie Khumalo fell ill.
Khumalo was on the stand at the Gauteng High Court in Pretoria giving her account of what transpired the night Meyiwa was shot and killed at her home in Vosloorus on 26 October 2014.
Khumalo was reportedly not in court after lunch and State Prosecutor, Advocate George Baloyi said she has issues with her accommodation. The court had to adjourn so that the issue can be sorted.
When proceedings resumed, Baloyi said Khumalo is unwell and she also told him that she is not psychologically well to continue with her testimony. However, when a seemingly annoyed presiding Judge Ratha Mokgoathleng asked Khumalo what’s wrong she said she has a pain on her chest.
