What is the ONE product you pray isn’t discontinued?

South Africans reacted with shock at the news this week that Nestlé’s popular (or not?) milk drink Nesquik will no longer be found on store shelves around the country.

Nesquik chocolate and strawberry milk drink (250g and 500g) was discontinued from 21 August 2023, according to Nestlé South Africa.

The company cited low demand and lack of sufficient sales as a reason for culling the product.

Nesquik joins a growing list of products pulled from South African shelves in recent years, including Hellmann’s mayonnaise, Chocolate Log, Cadbury’s Tempo, Simba’s All-Gold Tomato Sauce Chips and Peck’s Anchovette and Redro Fish Spread.

However, as reported by The South African website, shortly after Hellmann’s mayonnaise’s disappearance, it was back.

So … the question for today: What is the ONE product that would literally having to driving to your nearest store in your pyjamas to stockpile before it was discontinued?
