Whackhead Simpson is one of South Africa’s most famous media pranksters.
There’s almost nobody in local or international media that he hasn’t thought of pulling a prank on. But did you know that once upon a time in the glory days of media he pranked Will Smith?

Whackhead got hold of the Fresh Prince while he was filming a press junket for the movie I, Robot.
Here’s more about the prank and how it went between the famous Whackhead and Will Smith.
What happened between Whackhead and Will?
The famous prank between Darren Simpson and Will Smith happened back in 2004, while he was working for a radio station and Will was busy filming interviews for the movie I, Robot.
When it was time to do an interview with Smith, the station sent Whackhead along for the ride… Who couldn’t resist the opportunity to pull one of the most courageous pranks we’ve ever seen.
In the middle of a serious interview with Will Smith, Darren’s phone rings: fake, of course, but Will Smith doesn’t know it.

Whackhead proceeds to ‘speak to his mom’ on the phone, while halting the press interview. Simpson proceeds to ask Will out for dinner, and confuses his name several times while describing who Will is to his nonexistant mother over the phone.
Seriously.
