As South Africans, we’ve all seen our fair share of screaming and pushing in our National Assembly. On Tuesday however, Uganda took it to the next level when their MPs got involved in an all-out brawl over attempts to attend their president’s long hold on power.

Associated Press reports that the brawl broke out after opposition MPs accused a government MP of carrying a gun. Lawmakers then started punching each other and chairs can even be seen flying around the room as they are hurled back and forth.

A motion was set to be introduced to remove a constitutional provision that blocked anyone over the age of 75 from running for president. Current president Yoweri Museveni is 73 and ineligible to run for re-election in 2021. Opposition parties see this motion as an attempted power by the President to extend his rule.
