WATCH LIVE: Senzo Meyiwa murder trial continues

The trial within trial of the five men accused of killing Bafana Bafana captain Senzo Meyiwa continues at the Gauteng High Court in Pretoria.

The trial within trial looks into the admissibility of confessions and points out the crime scene allegedly made by accused 1 Muzikawukhulelwa Sibiya and 2 Bongani Ntanzi.

SENZO MEYIWA MURDER TRIAL CONTINUES IN THE HIGH COURT

Last week, both the State and defence presented their closing arguments.

The defence will continue with closing arguments on Monday, 11 March and is adamant that the State failed to prove beyond reasonable doubt that the alleged confessions were made freely and voluntarily.

Five men are on trial at the Gauteng High Court in Pretoria for the murder of Senzo Meyiwa, who was killed at the home of his girlfriend and singer Kelly Khumalo on 26 October 2014 in Vosloorus. The men are: Muzikawukhulelwa Sibiya, Bongani Sandiso Ntanzi, Mthobisi Prince Mncube, Mthokoziseni Maphisa and Fisokuhle Nkani Ntuli.

The five men face charges of premeditated murder, attempted murder, robbery with aggravated circumstances, possession of firearms without a licence and possession of ammunition. All five men pleaded not guilty.
