A member of the Democratic Alliance (DA) in Tshwane says she wants apartheid — the system that controlled black people with racist laws enshrining white supremacy — back. 

According to a video clip that’s trending online and posted by SABC News, the DA supporter named Olgar from Hammanskraal says the ANC is sabotaging the DA, which is trying to fix things.

Olgar, who claimed to be part of the DA in Tshwane, said her party was not delivering in the area because the ANC was sabotaging it.

The legacy of apartheid continues to be prevalent in almost every corner of South Africa, with economic and social inequality ranked among the most extreme in the world. Black people bear the brunt of this. They have the highest unemployment rate among all racial groups, and many are not able to afford quality school education.

The DA in Tshwane has vowed to take on the ANC over threats to haul the capital city under administration over a series of service delivery disruptions and the council’s failure to meet.

CTY OF TSHWANE IN DISARRAY DUE TO STRIKE ACTION

The city has been thrown into disarray in recent months due to strike action by municipal workers, who have been demanding a pay increase, resulting in about 122 employees being issued with dismissal letters.

Despite the city changing mayors in abundance in recent months, the Tshwane council has also failed to discuss pertinent issues, including the strike, service delivery, and its finances.
