A video of people burning money at a braai has gone viral, sparking outrage and disbelief.

The video, which was shared on Twitter, shows a group of people gathered around a braai in what appears to be a backyard.

The people are seen lighting R100 and R200 notes on fire and then placing them on the grill. The video has been viewed over 100,000 times and has been shared over 1,000 times.

Others have expressed disbelief that the people would be so wasteful.

“This is just ridiculous,” one Twitter user wrote. “Why would anyone burn money? It’s just so wasteful.”

“I can’t believe this is real,” another user wrote.
