COMMUNITY ACCUSE OF THE BEING SOFT TO THE CRIMINALS

Although these suspects were beaten up to a pulp, the vigilante group has been accused of being soft and lenient.

These sentiments were echoed in comparison to the Nzhelele incident where an angry mob set the suspects alight after being accused of kidnapping.

On 17 August, two alleged child kidnappers were killed in their escaped vehicle after the car was torched by an angry mob.
