No water for 7 hours in parts of Tshwane this weekend

Parts of Tshwane will be without water on Sunday, 21 January, due to planned maintenance by Rand Water. Here are the affected areas.

Parts of Tshwane may experience supply interruptions as Rand Water will be doing maintenance work at the Zuikerbosch Treament Plant.

The maintenance is scheduled to take place on Sunday, 21 January.

WATER SUPPLY INTERRUPTIONS IN TSHWANE

In a statement, the City of Tshwane said the maintenance work may lead to supply interruptions for Region 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6 due to maintenance work by Eskom on the transformer serving the Zuikerbosch Water Treatment Plant.

The municipality has urged residents to use water sparingly.

SUPPLY DISRUPTION ON WEDNESDAY

The City of Tshwane has announced a scheduled upgrade to the supply network in the Queenswood reservoir area, which is set to take place on Wednesday, 17 January 2024.

During the upgrade period, technicians from the City will be conducting necessary improvements to the water supply infrastructure in Queenswood.

This will impact several suburbs, including Koedoespoort, Villieria, Waverley, Moregloed, Queenswood, and Rietfontein. Residents in these areas have been advised to plan accordingly.

To facilitate the upgrade process, residents are urged to refrain from watering gardens with hosepipes or sprinkler systems between 6:00 and 18:00 on the scheduled day.
