Tshwane: 9 -Hour WATER OUTAGES on Wednesday

Parts of Tshwane will be without water all day on Wednesday. Residents are urged to adhere to water restrictions during this time.

Residents of Erasmuskloof Extention three, East of Pretoria will possibly experience water outages on Wednesday due to planned matainence.

POSSIBLE WATER OUTAGES

According to the City of Tshwane, it will be carrying out a planned connection to the pipeline. This could result in interrupted water supply for nine hours between 8am and 5pm.

“The City apologies for the inconvenience may be caused by the above-mentioned work,” the City says in a statement.

CONSERVATION MEASURES

In an effort to conserve water, the city has requested that residents adhere to the following guidelines.

  • Refrain from watering gardens with hosepipes or sprinkler systems between 6:00 and 18:00.
  • Avoid vehicle washing with hosepipes.
  • No filling swimming pools during the maintenance period.
  • Install low-flow shower heads and tap aerators.
  • Use dual-flush toilet cisterns.
  • Plant indigenous or drought-resistant shrubs.
  • Utilise rainwater for garden irrigation or car washing.
  • Use a broom instead of a hosepipe for cleaning.
  • Close taps while brushing teeth or shaving.
