Here are the stories that made headlines on the front pages of newspapers around the world on Friday, 5 July 2024.

New York Post newspaper reported that Biden appeared confused and lost his train of thought at the White House 4th July events, saying, ‘Probably shouldn’t even say that.

The Daily Mail newspaper reported an explosive exit poll suggesting a Labour landslide, with Lord Mandelson describing it as an ‘electoral meteor’ striking Earth. Starmer is projected to win most of the 170 seats, with the Tories falling to just 131, as initial results come in.
