Three men were shot and killed in two bizarre shootings shortly after each other in Jeppestown on Monday evening.

THE SHOOTINGS HAPPENED SHORTLY AFTER ONE ANOTHER

According to ER24, emergency services spokesperson Ineke van Huyssteen, paramedics were called out to the first shooting at around 19h20 on Monday evening.

“Two people were killed in a shooting incident on the corners of Albertina Sisulu Road and Beacon Street in Jeppestown last night.”

She said when paramedics arrived at the scene at approximately 19h20, they found a man in the driver’s seat of a vehicle showing no signs of life.

“A second man was found lying outside of the vehicle, also showing no signs of life. Both had sustained gunshot wounds and were declared dead at the scene by paramedics.”

While busy on the scene, paramedics were alerted to another shooting incident on Hout Street, Jeppestown.

“When they stopped at the scene shortly before 20h00, they found a man lying next to the road. Unfortunately, he had sustained fatal gunshot wounds and was declared dead at the scene by paramedics.”

POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING THE DEATHS OF THE THREE MEN

Van Huyssteen said the circumstances of both incidents were not known to our paramedics, but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
